About Us
Eye of the Day first opened in 1995 in the Santa Ynez Valley when Brent and Suzi Freitas began selling used oak wine barrel planters supplied by the growing wine industry. They opened a small retail shop and began adding other garden décor items including fountains, tables and benches, statuary and garden gift items. Their interest in finding the highest quality products for their customers led them to Europe where they began to build relationships with some of the leading manufacturers of terra cotta pottery.
Today, Eye of the Day Garden Design Center is the leading purveyor of European garden furnishings including Italian terracotta pottery, French planters, traditional Greek pottery and one-of-a-kind antique pieces for the garden. The Santa Barbara showroom features a wide selection of merchandise, providing the opportunity to choose pieces from around the world to create a perfectly unique garden. Whether using aged garden pottery from Greece, Italy or Spain or new pottery from Europe or the U.S., Eye of the Day can help you bring paradise home.
