Welcome to the Castro House

The newly renovated, fully furnished, pet friendly vaction rentals are located in the heart of downtown Carpinteria, CA. Just a stones throw from local shopping, breweries and some of the best eats in the county. Just a few blocks from the worlds safest beach, Carpinteria Beach at the end of Linden Avenue.

This upstairs gem comfortably sleeps 6 and offers all of today's amenities with yesterday's class. Free Wi-fi, cable, beach gear from towels and chairs to coolers and wetsuits. BBQ on the balcony and take in some of the best sunsets ever seen. The downstairs is a more elegant 2 bedroom with loads of amenities including the latest in Smart Living Technology and a hot tub.

The Castro House originally was set on the corner of Maple Ave and Carpinteria Ave, where the 76 Gas Station now stands. It was moved to where it stands now (one lot south over) in 1949. After 112 years, this old house received it's first face lift with a new roof, new rain gutters and a gorgeous paint job that we hope will last another 112 years.

The Castro House is the perfect spot to bring your family together for a reunion or special event. With two units we can sleep 12 comfortably and help you with planning your event. You will have access to all the beach gear, wagons, wet suits, boogie boards and beach towels for a day at the beach. Let the Castro House be your home away from home.

Jess was a wonderful host, really sweet even left us a couple gifts upon our arrival. the house had a lot to offer. Great location, lots of restaurants and walking distance to the beach. Would definitely go back.
